An Open letter From Aic Akwarandu To Hon. Maria Ude Nwachi (AfikpoChic) On Taking Up The Contract of Image Making For Gov. Okorocha

An Open letter From Aic Akwarandu To Hon. Maria Ude Nwachi (AfikpoChic) On Taking up the contract of image making for Gov. Okorocha

"Dear Hon. Maria

I want to start by commending you for the roles you have played towards putting your Home Town into the world map. The name Afikpo rings bell in the ears of many people residing in different parts of the world. That's quite commendable and I give it to you. I also want to congratulate you on your victory in 2015 as the House member representing the Great Afikpo. When you declared, I knew very well that the election was won and lost by the contenders. I knew you have empowered alot of people and I knew you have lived for the masses. That election was against the people of Afikpo whose name you have made an International discuss. Congratulations also for representing your people well since you took over. The images we see from here are really cool and commendable. Jisi Ike Nwanyi Oma.

Secondly, I want to congratulate you for having a governor who has value quality. A trained engineer who appreciates the fact that why a leader is elected is to do things that will stand a test of time. Gov. Dave Umahi is not perfect. He has his own shortcomings like every other being created by God, but all my findings didn't reveal him as a greedy man who finds joy in making others sad. Looking at the quality of roads we see in Ebonyi, one wonders why such a governor can not boost and be proud of it. I also saw in one of your posts the stadium you showcased on this platform which the governor completed in just two years of His administration. Commendable also is the bridge His administration completed in just two years and all these are of quality. You have always presented Gov. David Nweze Umahi as a man who appreciates quality, respects rule of law and also has fear of God. To satisfy my curiosity, I visited Ebonyi State recently and took personal inventories through the help of my friend who was the former SUG president of the State owned University, EBSU, Comr. Joshua Nwafor, I confirmed that most of the images I see are true reflections of what is on ground.

Hon. Ma, recently you visited our dear state to the admiration of all of us. I was happy when I saw your pictures in circulation. I had this feelings that today "a reporter has been reported". I also hope you had a good time while it lasted. To be Frank with you my dear Honourable, I have been indifferent about some of your posts about Imo State since you left. I know I'm not bound to like what ever you post for they are done on your wall. Also, I noticed that my posts are no longer approved in your famous group, Igboist. My posts are left unapproved for days and this I have taken note of. I hold no grudge about that because I understand that the platform is yours, whatever you want is what will appear in it. I must also appreciate you within the periods you allowed me to share my posts there. It was really nice.

Hon. Ma, during your visit to Imo State, I don't know if anybody made out time to take you round the State. I'm not also aware if anybody took time to show you the situation of some things in the state. You would have noticed that most of the things you celebrate in your state under the leadership of a two year governor are all dilapidated in my own state. A trip to the state owned stadium would have made you to understand that the recent job of marketing and cleansing Gov. Okorocha which you took up is a very difficult one. With all due respect Ma, I appreciate the fact that you are a professional image maker. A job which you have done so well to the admiration of many. However, it's difficult to market a man who contradicts the images we see from your state. It's difficult to market a man who has no respect for rule of law and constituted authority. It's difficult to market a man who for the past 6 years can not point at a road which can equate the quality of roads you show us in your state, Ebonyi.

You have always presented yourself as a woman of quality who appreciates the quality of work done by your governor. You have always used your platforms to preach fairness, equity and rule of law. It is however important to let you know that the Okorocha's image cleansing contradicts most of these ideals you hold in high esteem. I must also acknowledge the fact that you know all these. You did not just jump into the job, you knew you have carried a bad market, you know that you are not the best person to advertise a product which you can not use. Little wonder you tried so hard, though in your usual manner to appease your followers before launching the time bomb. Unfortunately, even those who benefited from your Mula also warned you about the impending doom which the image cleansing of Gov. Okorocha portends.

I'm aware you will be wondering why I feel that this particular job is a difficult one. Well, as someone who has followed the administration of Gov. Okorocha from 2011 till date,  I can authoritatively tell you that Gov. Okorocha represents the entire opposites of the things you represent. In terms of quality construction, I may not know the road that led you into the State. But I'm aware you must have looked around to see some of these things we complain about. It should worry you that in 6 years we can not boost of a fully completed one kilometre road. Road construction is going on everyday, none is concluded. It should also worry you that our once famous Dan Ayiam Stadium is now dilapidated. The DAN in the sign post has fallen off,  what we have left is Ayi, hence am which completes it Anyiam is not also there. It may also worry you that there is no functional government Hospital in Imo state.  The only teaching hospital we have is now "Striking" more than thunder. The governor in his first tenure started a white elephant project of building 27 Hospitals. Unfortunately as at today, none of them has been able to attend to a headache patient. They only function over the television. I'm saying this for you to understand why even though your governor is not a saint, but you should appreciate the fact that you have a governor with less greed.

You must have heard, at least it was in the news some years back and even till now. In 2015, the Governor captured his manifesto on Factory Factory Factory, Employment Employment Employment Employment, Job Job Job. When you came around, you would have asked where the factories are located, who and who was sacked and who and who was purportedly employed. Ask of the jobs they have created. Imolites will never accept that any of these exist just because you have taken up the job to cleanse him. It's difficult to defend a man who can not defend himself. Recently, I have also read on your platform that the state governor of Imo gave Cars  free of charge to Keke operators. You know that I know that you know that the news is completely false and fake. To enlighten you more, these Keke operators are Imolites. We see them and interact with them. The Passat shared has its market value at 300k considering the no they bought. They signed agreement with the Keke operators to take 1m each from them. They will be paying 20k on monthly basis. I'm aware you knew all these but unfortunately, you took up the wrong job.

While I wish you well, I must let  you know it will be difficult to convince Ndi Imo about who our governor is. I don't have anything against him personally. He became my governor and He became answerable to me. That's the duty of a leader. Owelle has reduced the bars of leadership in Imo State. An administration without direction, an administration that appeared Vum and Disappeared Vam. There is not respect for rule of law. Court injunctions are violated. Land grabbing is supreme, task forcing is greater than the tasked, insecurity on the rise, my dear,  Hon. It will be difficult to convince Ndi Imo about him. An average Imo man is in search of alternative. When the time comes, the  people will beproperly guided.

May I sincerely appreciate you for your time. These words came out with clear intention. I wish you well in your job. Thank you.

Once again, accept my congratulations".
