NWOSU URGES ORLU POLITICAL LEADERS TO EMBRACE UNITY AS ORLU POLITICIANS UNITE AT SUMMIT
-NO MORE RECYCLING,YOUTHS SHOULD TAKE OVER LEADERSHIP-
It was a true manifestation of no permanent enemy in politics on saturday,12th of August,2017 as political leaders in Orlu Jettisoned Political differences to gather together to chat new course for the zone during the Orlu Political Summit organized by a central Committe under the leadership of Nze Elvis Agukwe.
Among the dignatires and apex leaders of the zone who graced the summit was the humane Chief of Staff,Imo State Government House,Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.
Delivering his address,Nwosu thanked Nze Agukwe and other members of the planning Committe for coming up with such noble ideas to unite leaders of the zone irrespective of political party affilation as well as chat a new course for the zone.He enjoined people of the area to be their brother's keeper while noting that people of zone has done well generally.
Nwosu who was at the event on dual capacity;as the representative of the State Govetnor,His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha and himself as a stakeholder in the zone and added "Every indigene of Orlu zone must walk around with shoulder high because we have done well".
The Chief of Staff used the opportunity to re-emphasize his support for the call for power to handed over to the youths and stop the recycling of old leaders.He noted that Orlu is currently looking like the capital,courtesy of the transformational work of the governor in the area while extolling the good leadership qualities of Owelle Okorocha which he said has remodelled Imo as a modern model state and one of the best states in the Federal reublic of Nigeria.
He advised people of the zone to form a synergy and always speak with one voice and expressed optimism that the summit will be a continous event where people from the zone will strategize and brainstorm.
He assured them of the support of the governor who he said told him to assure them that he is solidly behind them,adding that the zone will not succumb to any form of intimidation being a pivot in the state.
Other leaders and stakeholders of the zone who presented their address at the summit were unianimous in calling for unity,synergy and love among people of the zone as well as expressed their support for youths to be supported to take over leadership and stop the idea of recycling of old politicians include;Chief Gibson Chigbu,Hon.Engr Kingsley Uju,Chief Ethelberth Ukonu,Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu,Hon.Chief Jones Onyereri and Chief Okey Ikoro.
Present at the summit were federal Law makers from Orlu Zone,Legislators from the zone,representatives of different political parties,transition Committe Chairmen,including the past and the incoming ,Top government officials from the zone among others.
